Dear Parents and Guardians;

I hope that you are having a wonderful summer that is full of family, friends and fun!  I wanted to take a moment to welcome you to a new school year.  Our first day of school is September 1^st, 2011.  A new school year is always exciting.  Our focus will be on providing each child with new challenges that will result in a rewarding school experience.  Academic emphasis on the core content areas of reading, language arts, science, social studies, and math will remain a priority.  

Forest Lane Elementary has a reputation for being a high quality school with dedicated staff members who work cooperatively with parents to provide the best learning experience for all students.  Working together, we can ensure that all students achieve their highest potential.   I challenge each student to give their very best effort at all times and to take responsibility for their own learning.  It is amazing what one can accomplish with a positive attitude.
